5-yr-old kids injured after false ceiling falls in Velachery school

The incident happened during the lunch hour and the caved in false ceiling fell on the two students.

CHENNAI: Two Class 1 students of a private school in Velachery were injured after a portion of false ceiling in their classroom, caved and fell on them on Friday. The injured students were identified as P Darshan and C Sahana, both aged five years old. The incident happened during the lunch hour and the caved in false ceiling fell on the two students. The school management informed the parents and took the children to a private hospital. Police said that Sahana had to be administered sutures on her forehead because of the injuries while Darshan was treated as an outpatient. Velachery police are investigating.
