35-year-old on lookout by AP police arrested in Chennai

A special team of police from Andhra would soon arrive in Chennai to arrest Raja.

CHENNAI: A 35-year-old man, who was on the lookout by the Andhra police, was arrested at the Chennai airport on Monday.

Immigration officials who were checking the documents of the passengers, who arrived from Singapore on Monday found that Raja Mohan of Nellore was wanted by the Andhra police for the past two years.

Soon, officials detained Raja and found that Raja's wife had filed a dowry case against Raja in the Nellore all-women police station. When the police were about to arrest Raja, he had managed to escape abroad. Following that, in 2021, the Nellore SP issued LOC to all the airports across the country and on Monday, when he arrived from Singapore, he was caught at the Chennai airport.
