3 bikes gutted in fire in Mylapore

Three motorbikes were gutted at Mylapore in the wee hours of Saturday after unidentified miscreants set the two-wheelers on fire.

In her complaint,M Renuka (28) ofNochikuppam said that she had parked her bike a few metres away from her house on Friday night. However, in the early hours of Saturday, she found her bike up in flames and two other bikes parked nearby also catching fire. After residents who noticed this alerted the fire control room, two fire tenders from Teynampet and Mylapore rushed to the spot and doused the fire by 4 pm. However, the bikes were gutted by then. A case has been registered and a hunt has been launched for the suspects.
