25-yr-old woman, guest worker fall to death

In two different incidents, a 25-year-old woman and a construction labourer slipped to death from two buildings.

The woman, Saveetha of Syful Mulk Street in Pudupet went to dry clothes on the terrace of the two-storey building when she slipped and fell from a height of about 50 feet. Shocked neighbours and relatives rushed her to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital but she was declared brought dead.

On information, Egmore police registered a case and further investigation is on. Police said that Saveetha got married to one Sathyara a year ago.

Similarly, a 24-year-old guest worker who fell from the second floor of an under-construction building in Anna Nagar on Wednesday evening was declared brought dead.

The deceased Ashrampur was a native of West Bengal, said police. He was involved in centring work in the five-storey building when he slipped and fell from the second floor. He was rushed to the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital but was declared brought dead. Anna Nagar police have registered a case.
