Yami Gautham in talks for Ajith’s Valimai

It’s been only a couple of days since the producer of Ajith’s upcoming film, Boney Kapoor, revealed to the media that the actor will be seen playing the role of a cop in the film. The latest we hear is that Bollywood actor Yami Gautham, who is basking in the success of Bala, has been approached to play the female lead in the film.

A source in the know of things says, “Many heroines in both Bollywood and Kollywood were approached to play the female lead in the film. But the director of the film felt that Yami Gautham would fit the bill. However, nothing has been finalised yet.” When DT Next contacted the actress to confirm on it, she chose to remain silent.


It is also worth noting that Yami Gautham had earlier acted in Tamil films like Gouravam, and Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum, which bombed at the box office. Valimai is all set to go on floors from December 13 (today) and Yuvan Shankar Raja has been confirmed as the composer for the film.
