“I have known Shoojit Sircar before and he had said that he would cast me in a suitable role in his forthcoming film. That is how I landed the character of Dulhin in Gulabo Sitabo,” Tina tells DT Next. The actress adds that she couldn’t refuse the offer once Shoojit told her about the film. “Who would refuse a film that has Amitabh ji and Ayushmann Khuranna in lead roles. When Shoojit told me about the character of Dulhin, I wasn’t worried about my screen time. It really doesn’t matter when the character is impactful. Dulhin is raised in the mansion since her childhood and is a familiar face there. I also play the caretaker and I was intrigued by it. I immediately agreed,” she opens up.

On shooting for the film with Ayushmann Khurrana, she says, “When I met him on the sets for the first time, before I could say anything, he recognised me as Choti ammi from Gully Boy and greeted me. I was so happy that he remembered my small role in that film. Shooting with him was great fun,” she concludes.
