CHENNAI: Rohini Theatre in Koyambedu has announced a special offer for audiences watching Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, starring Jiiva, on Saturday, February 7.

As part of celebrations marking the film’s upcoming completion of 25 days in theatres, viewers who purchase tickets for any show on February 7 will receive a free veshti, shirt and a silk saree. Tickets are priced at Rs 100, and the offer will be valid for all shows at Rohini Theatre.

The film’s team had earlier celebrated its success with a meet held on January 30, which was originally scheduled as the release date of the film. The film was advanced to a Pongal release on January 15, following the postponement of Vijay-starrer Jana Nayagan.

What is Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil about?

Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil features Jiiva in the lead, alongside Thambi Ramaiah and Ilavarasu. The film is produced by Kannan Ravi Productions and directed by Nitish Sahadev, best known for the Malayalam film Falimy. This marks his Tamil directorial debut.

The comedy-drama revolves around a village official attending a wedding who becomes entangled in an escalating family dispute rooted in power struggles and long-standing resentments.

The film emerged as an audience favourite during the Pongal season amid mixed reviews for other releases such as Vaa Vaathiyaar and Parasakthi.

Made on a reported budget of Rs 10 crore, Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil has earned an estimated Rs 29.34 crore (India net) in its first 21 days at the box office, according to Sacnilk.
