The concert is being organised to raise awareness and funds in support of struggling musicians and singers from the Tamil music industry. A few of the participating singers include AR Rahman, Shankar Mahadevan, Anirudh Ravichander, GV Prakash Kumar, Shreya Ghoshal, Benny Dayal and Hariharan. The 6-hour long concert will go live exclusively on Facebook through official pages of United Singers Charitable Trust, Anirudh Ravichander, D Imman and GV Prakash Kumar on September 12 at 6 pm. People will be able to make a donation via the donate button next to the video while watching the concert. Facebook’s Fundraisers allows people to set up a dedicated page to tell others about a cause and rally around a fundraising goal, something that has been helpful in the Covid-19 relief efforts.
