Twitter, posed a poll, asking fans, which of the films’ sequels they wanted to see on screen. The poll had Soodhu Kavvum 2, Maayavan 2 and Thegidi 2 as the options. The post received response from around 10,000 Twitteratis. In the end, Soodhu Kavvum 2 clocked with over 61.9% votes emerged on top.

However, the studio surprised all later after responding with another tweet: “All the three scripts are in finishing stage. Will update soon with all details. Thx for the participation and overwhelming support. #Soodhukavvum2 #Thegidi2 #Maayavan2.” (sic)

CV Kumar is popular for working with newbie filmmakers including, Karthik Subbaraj and Nalan Kumarasamy, among others. Nalan’s Soodhu Kavvum, starring Vijay Sethupathi, is often considered as one of the finest dark comedies while Maayavan and Thegidi are crime thrillers which received a considerable positive response.
