The sequel is said to have Sathyaraj in the lead. When contacted, sources close to the unit told DT Next, “The sequel too will be produced by CV Kumar under his banner Thirukumaran Entertainment and will go on floors in February. The announcement of Soodhu Kavvum will be made official with a first look poster in the coming days.” Vijay Sethupathi will be reportedly playing a cameo in the film. “Except for a few names, nothing could be confirmed as of now as it is too early. An official announcement would be made as soon as the project goes official,” the source added. The first part of the film was directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, who will be joining hands with Vijay Sethupathi soon for a movie. Meanwhile, CV Kumar is working on his third directorial titled Kottravai, a fact, and fiction film.
