Nikhila Vimal shoots for Karthi’s film

Recently, we reported that Karthi has begun shooting for a film directed by acclaimed Malayalam director Jeethu Joseph, which also features his sister-in-law, Jyotika, in pivotal role. The latest update is that, Nikhila Vimal, who was last seen in films like Sasikumar’s Kidaari and Vetrivel, has been roped in to play Karthi’s love interest in the project.

Produced by Viacom18 Movies and Jytoika’s brother Suraj, Manikandan, Rensil D Silva and Jeethu Joseph have jointly written the script. Nikhila Vimal posted a picture of herself with Karthi from the sets of the film and wrote, “Nw this is really something. It’s a long awaited comeback to the Tamil industry. I’m glad pairing with @Karthi_Offl in a #JeetuJoseph movie. So honoured. @Viacom18Studios @AndhareAjit @rdrajasekar @praseesujit #jyothika #sathyaraj.”(sic) The shoot of the film is currently progressing in Ooty, and Karthi plays role of Jyotika’s brother in the film.


Sathyaraj, too, had recently joined the sets of it. While Govind Vasantha of 96 fame composes music, RD Rajasekhar cranks the camera.
