CHENNAI: Filmmaker Mohan G and actor Richard Rishi previously collaborated for the films Rudra Thandavam and Draupathi, which were commercial successes. Now the duo combo has yet again teamed up for Draupathi 2. The story is set in the backdrops of the 14th century, and will revolve around the herculean warriors. Shivaji Productions Sola Shakkaravarthi is producing this film in association with GM Film Corporation.
The first look and motion poster has captured the attention of audiences.
Director Mohan G says, “We are overwhelmed with the heartwarming response to our first look and title announcement. The shooting will commence by March and the entire movie will be filmed across never-seen-before locations in India. The film will have its worldwide theatrical release later this year. Draupathi 2 will revolve around the Hoysala Dynasty, and will exhibit the history of those gallant warriors.”
The film will be simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. Ghibran Vaibodha is composing music for this film, and Draupathi 2 marks the first-ever collaboration of director Mohan G and Ghibran Vaibodha.
