This is their third indie number after Orasaadha and Gaandu Kannamma. Talking about it, they said, “This song is for everyone who is away from their loved ones and miss them during the lockdown. It could be our parents, friends, or our girlfriend/boyfriend.” The duo said that the lyrics are about valuing a relationship. “We don’t value people when they are around. Only when they are apart we know what they mean to us. This lockdown was an opportunity for us to live with our parents and that is when we realised how much we missed them all these years,” Vivek-Mervin added.

Despite composing music for the movies of leading stars, the duo believes that the indie music scene has grown tremendously over the years. “Indie music down south especially has picked up in the last couple of years. Moreover, in the pandemic people started looking out for good music and movies. It has been a great boost to the indie music scene,” they opened up. With big names cropping up, Vivek and Mervin say that even small-time composers have thrived and will sustain in indie music across the country. “Times have changed with the advent of the digital medium. There are numerous platforms to showcase the talent where people wouldn’t miss noticing it. Even small-time musicians are being heard across the world. That’s the reason it is called independent,” they conclude.
