Kathir in talks for remake of Malayalam film Ishq

Actor Kathir, who was last seen playing the role of a footballer in both Jada and Bigil, is on a signing spree. We hear that the actor has been roped in to play the lead in the Tamil remake of hit Malayalam film Ishq, which featured Shane Nigam and Ann Sheetal in the lead roles.

A source in the know of things says, “Director Shivv Mohaa of Zero fame will be directing the remake and the film will be bankrolled by Eagle’s Eye Productions. Kathir will reprise Shane’s character in the original. An official announcement will be made soon.” The film is in the final stages of pre-production and the shooting is expected to go on floors in a month’s time.
