I-T raids on financier have not affected schedule of Valimai

A source close to the film unit refutes rumours that the shoot of the film had come to a halt after I-T officials seized cash from the financier who is said to have funded Boney Kapoor for the project

Earlier this week, rumours were rife that the production of Ajith’s Valimai produced by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Project LLP has been stalled after I-T raids at a financier’s house. However, a source from the film unit denied the rumours and told DT Next, “The shoot is taking place as per the schedule and things are on track. These are just baseless rumours. A film shoot doesn’t happen in one stretch and there will be breaks in between. There was a brief two-day break for the unit in, which led to such unwarranted speculations.”

The film will have Ajith donning the khaki for the second time after Yennai Arindhaal. Directed by H Vinoth, the film is all set to hit the screens on the Deepavali weekend this year. The film also reportedly features Bollywood actors Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam and Kartikeya in a pivotal role. According to reports, Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing music for the film, and Nirav Shah will be handling the camera.
