CHENNAI: Expanding the scale of storytelling in Tamil cinema, Netflix has announced its list of upcoming Tamil films that will stream on the platform in 2026. The lineup will follow an exclusive Netflix premiere after its theatrical run.

Talking about the announcement, Monika Shergill, vice president, content, Netflix India, shared, “Tamil cinema has a passionate fanbase, driven by original ideas, strong craft, and deep emotional connection. We’ve seen Tamil films travel widely on Netflix - watched, discussed, and embraced in India and around the world. It’s been encouraging to see audiences respond to content-led films across genres, with growing openness to stories that move beyond traditional formats.”

Suriya’s 46th film, directed by Venky Atluri, and his 47th film helmed by Jithu Madhavan are a part of the list.

Ravi Mohan’s upcoming film with SJ Suryah and Arjun Ashokan, and his directorial The Ordinary Man,headlined by Yogi Babu, will stream on the platform after a successful theatrical run.

For Dhanush, Vignesh Raja’s directorial Kara and the actor’s next with Rajkumar Periasamy’s OTT rights are also acquired by the platform.

Karthi’s Marshal, directed by Tamizh, filmmaker Abishan Jeevinth’s acting debut With Love and Atharvaa-starrer Idhayam Murali, have also secured a spot in the list. It also includes VJ Siddhu’s Dayangaram, Vishnu Vishal’s Gatta Kusthi 2 and AGS’s 28th film, starring Arjun Sarja, Preity Mukhundhan and Abhirami.
