In the radio show, the Prime Minister said that Srividya was popularising stories based on Indian culture. “One of my friends called and informed me that Modiji in the Mann Ki Baat series that was aired on Sunday mentioned my name and the work I am doing. The video was uploaded on the Youtube page and I was surprised to see my picture along with PM’s mention.

It was a wonderful surprise to see our PM acknowledging the work I have been doing for the past few years. It’s such a great honour to be recognised. I have no idea from where the team of Mann Ki Baat gathered the information about me,” says Srividya, excitedly. The storyteller explains that any recognition can boost a per- son’s confidence. Srividya is the founder of Story Train, through which she hosts storytelling ses- sions for children and adults.

“I believe that stories have the power to change a person’s life. Because of the lockdown, I have been doing online storytelling sessions and people are loving it,” she adds.
