DeTect: Old image shared as Indian chopper crash in Ladakh

Many Pakistani netizens recently shared an image of a Indian Air Force chopper crash. The image went viral with the text, “Indians, please check if this is your Mi-17 that crashed in Ladakh?” This image was posted by a Pak-based news anchor. Alt News performed a reverse image search and found that an Mi-17 helicopter reportedly caught fire after it hit an iron girder while it was attempting to land on a helipad near the Kedarnath temple on April 3, 2018.
