The youth wing of Tirupur BJP was involved in a repartee with the veteran director and actor Vijay's father, SA Chandrasekar. They gifted him with a saffron dhoti, following his controversial statement on the exit polls.

The Sattam Oru Iruttarai director gave a speech in a film event on May 21. He commented on the exit polls saying, Tamil Nadu will survive but the rest of India will don saffron hinting at the BJP.

The Tirupur BJP said that it gifted saffron dhoti to the director as a mean of conveying the un-neglible power BJP wields.
