TNEA 2025: Counselling for special reservations to begin from July 7

According to a report by Thanthi TV report, the special reservations is for candidates including differently-abled, ex-servicemen, and sports quotas.

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions counselling for students under special reservation is set to begin on Monday.

According to the notification given by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), the differently abled students, sportspersons, wards of ex-servicemen, and those coming under 7.5 per cent horizontal reservation will take part in the counselling, which will be held in the online mode till July 8.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the counselling will be held for general special reservation categories such as differently abled students, sportspersons, and ex-servicemen. The much-awaited three-round of counselling for the general category students will begin July 14 and go on till August 19, in which more than two lakh students are expected to participate.

Higher Education Minister Govi Chezhiaan released the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank list. TNEA commenced the single-window admissions on May 7 for the first-year Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) courses. Admissions for polytechnic, and arts and science courses had also commenced on the same day for the new academic year.
