TNCPCR calls for chairperson, members posts before Oct 14

TNCPCR also mandated that persons selected for the posts shall not hold any post in any government, quasi-government, public sector or non-government organisation.

CHENNAI: To fill vacancies of a chairperson and six members for the Tamil Nadu Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TNCPCR), the secretary of TNCPCR has made a call for the posts on Friday.

Currently, inviting applications before October 14 by 5:30 pm, the TNCPCR has informed candidates to check eligibility and download application form either from www.tn.gov.in/department/30 (Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department) or www.tncpcr.tn.gov.in (TNCPCR).

The applicants for the post of chairperson and members should be related to one of the fields and have sound experience in education, child health care, welfare and child development, juvenile justice or care or neglected or marginalised children or child with disabilities, elimination of child labour or children in distress, child psychology on sociology and law relating to children.

TNCPCR also mandated that persons selected for the posts shall not hold any post in any government, quasi-government, public sector or non-government organisation. Importantly, the candidate applying for chairperson post should not exceed 65 years of age and members should not exceed 60 years as of 1 April, 2022, stated TNCPCR.
