CHENNAI: Kanimozhi Karunanidhi on being appointed as the Chairperson of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj of the Parliamentary Standing Committee, met Chief Minister and her brother M K Stalin on Thursday.

Stalin congratulated her on being appointment.

The Central Government announced the appointment of the members of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj of the Parliamentary Standing Committee, and issued a notification.

Accordingly, 17 members of the Lok Sabha and 10 members of the Rajya Sabha were appointed as members of the Central Government's Rural Development and Panchayat Raj of the Standing Committee.
