Puducherry gears up for vote counting

Ahead of vote counting on May 23, Puducherry has put the pre-counting process in place.

As the election season sets for an exciting finish, the single-seated Puducherry is all set for counting. The Union territory's lone parlaimentary seat contains 23 assembly seats. The counting takes place at Luzpet Motilal Nehru Government polytechnic college and Women's polytechnic college.

The counting locations are girdled by three-layered security along with 15 surveillance cameras. Due to the rigmarole of vote counting and the summer, the counting locations are installed with air-conditioners. The counting starts on May 23 from morning 8, first the postal votes are counted and then the EVM machines.
