Akila India Samathuva Makkal Katchi supremo Sarathkumar made a statement saying that Prime Minister doesn't care about the people in India.

He returned to Chennai after paying his respect to the deceased actor Ambareesh. While addressing the media at the Meenambakkam airport he said:

"I have not yet looked at the Gaja cyclone hit areas. I am going to meet the people of Thiruvaroor, nagapattinam, Thanjavoor, Pudhukottai in person."

He further added, "I don't understand what the Central Committee has been doing. What did the committee find out by going to the affected areas in the night? They should inspect the areas during daytime. It is the rescuers that are working there. They should be asked about the situation there. The people also should be asked about the same. The rescue operation should be carried out after understanding the real situation."

He further said, "Prime Minister Modi never reaches out to the problems in any state within the country including Tamil Nadu.?"

When asked about the Sabarimala issue he said that he has already made his stance clear that the verdict is not right. "The protest by the women shows that the verdict is not welcome by the women there," he concluded.
