Madras High Court questions EC on mass expulsion

The High court's action was a response to the petition filed by the Tamil Fishermen Confederation's convenor in Kanyakumari, Rajkumar.

The Madras High Court sent a notice seeking an explanation from the Election Commission on scrapping off 45,000 voters belonging to 47 fishermen villages of Kanyakumari, from the voter list in the Lok Sabha elections concluded on April 18. 

The High Court's action was a response to the petition filed by Rajkumar, convenor of the Tamil Fishermen Confederation in Kanyakumari.
