Noted Businessman turned politician H Vasanthakumar passed away on Friday after testing positive for COVID 19. Vasantha kumar is the founder and chairman of leading retail home appliances chain, Vasanth & Co. He is an elected Member of the Parliament from Kanyakumari constituency, representing Congress Party.

According to reports both Vasantha Kumar and his wife tested for corona and he was admitted in Chennai Apollo Hospital for further treatment.

It is expected that his mortal remains will be taken to his T Nagar residence for public and his party members to pay last respects, after which his mortal remains are expected to be taken to his native place, Kanyakumar, where he will be cremated.
