Kani faults AIADMK regime for rape incidents

Women were unsafe in the incumbent AIADMK regime, alleged Lok Sabha member and DMK women’s wing secretary Kanimozhi, faulting the government for the Tambaram rape and a similar case reported in Nagapattinam few days ago.

“Women are just not safe here. Yesterday, a vendor was raped at the railway yard in Tambaram and three days ago, a woman was raped at a temple premises in Nagapattinam. What is this EPS government doing to strengthen women and keep them safe? Is shielding AIDMK culprits their only focus,” she said in a social media post. A few a days ago, she had led an agitation in Pollachi, charging the government of protecting the accused and demanding the arrest of all the accused, including those allegedly connected with the AIADMK.
