CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi delivered his customary address at the first session of the Tamil Nadu state legislative assembly 2023 held at the Secretariat, Chennai.

As the Governor began with his address in the Assembly, members of the DMK's allies shouted slogans like 'Long live Tamil Nadu' and 'Condemn the Governor'.

Allies of the DMK staged a walkout from the Assembly against the TN Governor's address.

Congress, left, VCK, and TVK MLAs expressed their dissatisfaction with the Governor for saying that it would be appropriate to call the state as Thamizhagam instead of Tamil Nadu.
