‘Contributions of Nawabs will always be remembered’

Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Arjul Ram Meghwal on Sunday said the contributions made by Nawabs of Arcot to the society would always be remembered in history.

Meghwal, accompanied by senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan, visited Amir Mahal, the ancestral residence of the Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali during his visit to Chennai.


The Prince of Arcot extended his greetings to the Minister from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is at present at Makkah, on the invitation of the Saudi Kingdom, for a sacred ceremony. The Minister also extended his greetings to the Prince and wished him the very best for the ceremony.


Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali, Dewan to the Prince of Arcot, hosted a tea in honour of the visiting Minister, a release from Amir Mahal said. The Minister presented the book titled ‘One Country, One Constitution,’ to the Nawabzada.


During discussions, the Minister mentioned that it was very important that people of all communities always be united to build a strong and prosperous nation.


The Dewan discussed the potential opportunities to promote social, cultural, educational and business activities, to which the Minister showed keen interest and enthusiasm, and offered his support.


The Dewan offered a shawl to the Minister and the BJP leader, along with his cousin brother, Mohammed Fahd Khaleel.


Meghwal offered his blessings to the House of Arcot and said the contributions of the Nawabs to the society will always be remembered inhistory.
