He later visited the museum functioning under the control of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), where officials briefed him on the historical significance of the fort and the archaeological artefacts displayed there.

The Chief Minister travelled within the campus using the battery vehicle arranged by the Greater Chennai Corporation.

During the nearly half-hour visit, TVK cadres, Secretariat employees and members of the public gathered along the route to greet the Chief Minister.
