Christen kids with Tamil names: Stalin

DMK president M K Stalin has appealed to parents to christen their newborn babies with a spirit in Tamil. Stalin was in Sivakasi, where he presided over the wedding ceremony of his party functionary’s son on Wednesday.

It was not only for the wedding couple and those who attended on the occasion, but for all brides and grooms. After taking part at the wedding of son of G. Thalapathi, former Madurai district secretary of the DMK, Stalin said there should be a proper planning in life. Earlier, the government had imposed three-child policy for a couple and years after, it became two-child policy and lastly one-child policy as a measure to control population. But, the bitter economic reality in the present scenario could even make a couple to think about giving birth to a baby and it’s no wonder. Since the economic conditions are worsening day-by-day, the couple and all others would know well of this unhealthy situation prevailing now, Stalin said.
