CHENNAI: Police are on the lookout for a 21-year-old man who along with his associates stabbed a father-son duo holding them responsible for his friend’s arrest.
The accused Karthik was frustrated after the police recently arrested his friend Ashwath for allegedly assaulting one Sriram and his father Shanmughasundaram.
Karthik along with his associates wrongly assumed that Shanmughasundaram’s friend Thananchezhiyan and his son Senthamarai Kannan were behind it and on Thursday when the duo were travelling in their car, Karthik ambushed them near Valasaravakkam and stabbed them repeatedly and fled.
They victims were rushed to a nearby hospital.
