14 arrests made in relation to discrepancies in TNPSC Group-4 exam

Candidates Selvaraj and Vignesh were arrested for passing the group 4 exam in sly means. Selvaraj was tracked down by his cellphone signal in Panruti bus stop.

They made a startling revelation of giving Rupees 7.50 lacs as kickbacks to intermediaries and exam-related government staffs to pass the exam.

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) discovered the discrepancies in the Group-4 exam held September last year.

The matter was taken to the cognizance of CB-CID. In their investigation the pattern of cheating was unveiled and they disqualified 99 examinees who passed.

A total of 14 arrests were made in relation to the discrepancies in the exam which consists of examinees, intermediaries and government staffs.
