125 VIT students get placed in high-paying jobs

Beating the pandemic blues, more than 125 students of VIT University got their dream job offers with high remuneration through an online placement process, said VIT chancellor G Viswanathan.

The placement process, including pre placement talk, tests, and technical and HR interviews, were all conducted online due to the pandemic lockdown, he said, adding that all the four campuses of VIT University, located at Vellore, Chennai, Amaravathi (Andhra Pradesh) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), participated this year.

The highest salary offered was Rs 44 lakh by computer giant Microsoft while others were not far behind. Students also received good offers from companies where they were interning, allowing them to continue in the same firms, Viswanathan added. PG students were selected for internships he said, and added that 75 firms chose 455, including those from MCA, MSc and MTech.
