TN women beat Sikkim

Tamil Nadu posted a 76-run win against Sikkim in the BCCI Women Under-23 Group E T20 duel in Puducherry on Monday.

Batting first, Arshi Choudhary (47) continued her good form in the competition as Tamil Nadu made 122 for six in its stipulated overs. Chasing just over a run a ball, Sikkim never got going and could manage only 46 for seven. MS Aishwarya (2/8) and SB Keerthana (2/5) scalped two each for the winning side.


Brief scores: Tamil Nadu 122 for 6 in 20 overs (Eloksi Arun 28, Arshi Choudhary 47, Mariam 3/14) beat Sikkim 46 for 7 in 20 overs (MS Aishwarya 2/8, SB Keerthana 2/5).


Siddharth replaces Vijay


Left-arm spinner M Siddharth replaced the injured Murali Vijay in the Tamil Nadu squad for the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament. A Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) release said the selection committee has brought in Siddharth for the remainder for the league-cum-knockout event, which will conclude in Surat on December 1.
