Continuing on its overnight score of 262 for eight, the visitor added another 25 runs to its tally for the loss of two wickets. Tamil Nadu medium pacer H Trilok Nag (5/71) completed his five-wicket haul on Thursday. In reply to Baroda’s first innings score of 287, the host was 224 for five, with R Vimal Khumar (50) and S Lokeshwar (69) scoring fifties. 

Brief scores: Baroda 287 all-out in 89.5 overs (Mitesh Patel 56, Ninad Rathwa 67, Dhruv Patel 56*, H Trilok Nag 5/71) vs TN 224 for 5 in 82 overs (R Vimal Khumar 50, S Lokeshwar 69, S Swaminathan 49*).
