It was a dominant performance from the Glasgow 2014 silver medallist. Australia’s Matty Denny recovered from a shaky start, with two fouls putting him under immense pressure before he took silver with a personal best of 74.88m. Thanks to its exploits in swimming, Australia continued to swell its medals tally. The host was on top with 31 gold, 25 silver, 28 bronze for a total of 84 medals. England was in second position.
