Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy: Tamil Nadu bows to Mumbai

Tamil Nadu suffered a seven-run defeat at the hands of Mumbai in a tight Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy Under-23 Elite B four-day duel at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in Mumbai on Thursday.

Chasing 209 for victory, Tamil Nadu, continuing on its overnight score of 31 for three, fell agonisingly short of the target, getting bowled out for 201 in 43.5 overs.


Aman Hakim Khan (4/42) and Anjdeep Lad (4/47) were the major contributors with the ball for the winning side, scalping four wickets each. Mumbai earned six points for the victory while Tamil Nadu collected none.
