Rajasthan CM directs all govt, semi-govt depts to remain closed till March 31

He also directed officials concerned to postpone examinations in all schools and colleges till further orders.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday directed shutdown of all government and semi-government departments, autonomous institutions and state corporations till March 31 in the wake of the rising cases of coronavirus.  However, departments related to essential services will continue to work, he said.

He said appropriate arrangements should be ensured promptly, taking lessons from Italy to contain the coronavirus pandemic. The next two weeks are particularly important for the spread of the disease, so every person must play the role of a responsible citizen, he said.
