The deceased constable, identified as Divya Bharti, was posted in district magistrate's office in Sitapur.
The body was found last evening hanging at her official quarter in collectorate premises, Superintendent of Police Anand Kulkarni said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, and a probe has been ordered into the incident, Kulkarni said.
