Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan to inaugurate IFFK-22 on December 8

The 22nd International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on December eight.

State Culture Minister AK Balan will preside over the event in which famous Bengali actress Madhavi Mukherjee will be the chief guest, Kerala State Chalachitra Academy Chairman Kamal said in a release.

Famous Russian Director Alexander Sokurov will be felicitated during the occasion considering his contribution to the film world. Six films of Sorukov will be screened in the retrospective category.

The delegate fee this time is Rs 650 and the fee for students is Rs 350. The films will be screened in 14 theatres in which 8048 seats are available. Only 10,000 passes will be distributed this year.

Delegate registration will start on November 10. A Delegate Cell Office will start functioning from December 4 at Tagore Theater.
