Karnataka CM to inaugurate developmental works in Bantwal

Development works worth Rs 252.50 crore would be launched by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at a function to be held at Bantwal on October 22, state Forests Minister and district in-charge B Ramanath Rai said.

Addressing reporters, he said while the completed projects at an estimated cost of Rs 148.29 crore would be inaugurated, foundation stone for works costing Rs 104.21 crore would be laid the same day.

The completed works included the Rs 10 crore mini Vidhan Soudha, inspection bungalow (Rs 3 crore, KSRTC bus stand worth Rs 10 crore, 100-bed hospital worth Rs 6.15 crore), Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) building (Rs 5.16 crore), drinking water scheme in municipal limits (Rs 52.79 crore) and the tree park (Rs 35 lakh), he said.

The chief minister would also lay foundation stone for Kavishishya Panje Mangesh Rao auditorium, Kadeshivalaya Ajilamogaru Harmony Bridge, multi-village drinking water project and three other development works on the day, the minister said.
