CHENNAI: Within two weeks of their wedding, a young software engineer couple were found dead inside their house in Kundrathur on Monday night. Police are probing the circumstances which led to their deaths.
The deceased are identified as Vijay (25) and Yuvashree (24). Both were employed at a private IT firm and got married on December 13. The couple lived at a house in Moondramkattalai near Kundrathur.
Their deaths came to light after Yuvashree's sister who could not reach either of them over phone went to their house on Monday evening. The door was locked from inside, but there was no response after which the sister alerted the local police. Kundrathur police personnel broke the door open and found the woman lying unconscious on the bed while the man was found hanging.
Police rushed the couple to a hospital where they were pronounced as brought dead. Police moved their bodies to the government hospital for post mortem.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
