Traffic diversion on Poonamallee High Road on these days

To facilitate the road cut work, the traffic cops have made necessary diversions from Saturday night at 10 pm onwards to Monday morning 5 am.

CHENNAI: Chennai city traffic police have decided to divert vehicular movements on Poonamallee High Road, as the highway department officials are engaging in a a culvert work on EVR Salai (PH Road), junction of EVK Sampath Road near Daily Thanthi office, said a press release from the city police.

To facilitate the road cut work, the traffic cops have made necessary diversions from Saturday night at 10 pm onwards to Monday morning 5 am. Vehicles coming from Chennai Central can proceed as usual on EVR Salai, while the cars coming from Kilpauk to Chennai Central will be diverted at Dr Nair Bridge in Egmore and the vehicles will be forced to take a right to the Dr Nair Bridge.

The vehicles can take left on Gandhi – Irwin Road to travel through front of Egmore railway station and then through Gandhi Irwin bridge towards Chennai Central, said city police.
