The complainant, R Yogeshwaran of Anna Nagar, is said to have taken his dog to a vet on Medavakkam Tank Road in Kilpauk for the last few days after the pet fell ill. However, on Sunday night, Yogeshwaran’s dog died at his house. Shocked Yogeshwaran reached the doctor’s facility and got into an argument claiming that his pet animal died because of the false treatment by the veterinary doctor.

Around 5 am on Monday, he reached Secretariat Colony police station and lodged a complaint seeking action against the vet based on the postmortem report.

The dog has been kept at the Madras Veterinary College Hospital Emergency and Critical Care Unit and further investigation is on.
