Man, sister-in-law die after bus rams into bike near Walajabad

Two people died in an accident when a government bus rammed into their two-wheeler near Walajabad on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Kandasammy (29) and his sister-in-law Archana (20). Both were residents of Karadikuppam village in Villupuram and were working in a private firm in Oragadam.


The police said Kandasammy and Archana used travel to their village from Oragadam during weekends on a bike. On Friday night, after work, they went home and were on their way back to Oragadam when a government bus which was heading to Oragadam rammed their bike. The incident happened near Kattavakam junction near Walajabad. Kandasammy and Archana fell of the bike on the impact, hit their heads and died on the spot. The Walajabad police, who arrived at the spot, retrieved the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination to Kancheepuram government hospital.


Kandasammy is survived by 2-year-old child and a pregnant wife. The Walajabad police have registereda case and questioning the bus driver.
