Kochi-bound flight returns to Chennai airport after mid-air snag

When the flight was in mid-air the pilot noticed a technical issue and alerted the ATC.

CHENNAI: A private airline flight from Chennai to Kochi made an emergency landing at Chennai airport due to a technical snag a few minutes after the take-off on Monday. The flight departed at 6.30 am with 84 passengers.

When the flight was in mid-air the pilot noticed a technical issue and alerted the ATC. As the officers advised the pilot to return to Chennai, the flight made an emergency landing at 7.15 am at the Chennai airport.

The passengers were made to stay in the waiting hall. The engineering team tried to rectify the fault.

However, the issue was not fixed for a long time. It was announced that the flight would take off in the evening.
