Jayalalithaa changes candidate for Aruppukkottai seat

AIADMK Supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today announced change of party candidate for the Aruppukkottai Assembly constituency for the May 16 elections

In a statement here, she said sitting MLA and former Minister Vaigaiselvan would be fielded for the seat in place of M G Muthuraja.

While releasing the list of candidates for 227 seats on Monday, Ms Jayalalithaa had announced that Muthuraja would be fielded from Arupppukkottai in the southern Virudhunagar district. 

However, no reason has been assigned for changing the candidate.
