Jaya expels six party functionaries for anti-party activities

AIADMK Supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today sacked six party functionaries for indulging in anti-party activities ahead of the May 16 Assembly elections

In a statement here, Ms Jayalalithaa said Tiruppur district 20th Ward Presidium Chairman K Venkatasamy, Peelamedu ward Jayalalaithaa Peravai Secretary of Coimbatore district S Salt Vellingiri, Ariyalur district women youth brigade Secretary  R Gokul, advocate wing president M R Sethuraman, K M  Karthik of Madurai and G Mani of Tuticorin district were  expelled from the primary membership of the party.

She said they were expelled for acting in a manner that caused disrepute to the party. Ms Jayalalithaa also appealed to the party workers not to have any links with the expelled functionaries.
