This was a follow-up to the raids that were carried out on the residences and offices of State Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar and Sarath Kumar. The I-T officials had grilled both the leaders on Monday regarding the alleged exchange of cash between AIADMK (Amma) faction and Sarath Kumar.

The department had found evidences to prove that Sarath Kumar had received money in excess of Rs 5 crore to extend his support to TTV Dinakaran during RK Nagar by-poll.

On Tuesday, I-T officials carried out raids on the offices of Radaan Media, a production house owned by Radhika Sarath Kumar after they failed to recover cash from the actor-politician’s house at Kottivakkam during earlier raids.

The officials also inspected Sarath Kumar’s house and a premises owned by him and his wife at Flower Bazaar. I-T officials said Sarath Kumar had not given them a convincing reply regarding the evidences they had collected and the raids on Radaan Media was to uncover the money trail.
